Goddamnit!

Foreign Policy and Prospect just put out this year's version of their Top 100 Public Intellectuals and, once again, there is a conspicuous gap between "Cardoso" and "Chomsky." Noted feminist Lawrence Summers made it, for pete's sake! I am somewhat consoled by the fact that the list does include both the current and (most recent) former main squeeze of someone who'd really love to be on it, but isn't. Tender mercies...
